Hello and welcome to MobileTechGear.com! We have been in Beta Mode for the last 3 years and will be officially releasing our new products in October of 2016. Our focus has been on finding the best ways to carry mobile devices in the field. Large tablets in particular have been troublesome to implement as workers need both hands to perform their usual tasks. While traditional bags and packs allow users to keep their hands free, they are often bulky, and take quite a bit of time to access the device inside.
What we have done is to create a line of products that allow users to carry their devices hands free and access that device quickly. While we started out with the right concept, there were many issues surrounding creating products that would work with so many different devices in the market. In the beginning we thought making different case sizes was the best way to go, but quickly realized that if we came up with a way attach our product to standard cases like Otterbox and Lifeproof, we would be much better shape.
The Universal Mount system was really the turning point in our research and development process. Once we realized we could use VHB to bond a small lightweight mount to the back of any case, the doors blew open. The bonus was that since we designed the buckle attachment to be detachable, we were able to figure out a way to make a second SlingMount that allows users to carry any tablet over their shoulder. This modular design is a huge leap forward in the production process, as it only requires us to manufacture a handful of products to solve the issue of countless different mobile devices.
The other aspect of our design, and possibly the most important, at least in terms of value, is our security cord or tether. As far back as our first prototype, we new this was going to be a necessity. The cord attaches from the tablet to belt loop, and will virtually eliminate dropped and broken devices. This is particularly important for large companies with huge mobile workforces, as the money spent on device repair can be a considerable expense.
All in all, the release of the tablet belt clip and sling mount are a huge leap forward in mobility. We will be at several trade shows over the next year where we will be introducing the concept to companies large and small. Below are some images of the new products along with a GIF showing the ease at which a user can access their device. If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
